Steady Income With Options
When working from home, this is not as difficult as many would have you believe. Nor is it easy.
I can tell you that building a business online with internet marketing or affiliate marketing is not easy or quick.
If you were misled to think that it is, then you’re in for a rude awakening.
You will soon find that in the beginning stages of getting your online business going, the money can be sporadic, unreliable and sometimes, non-existent.
This is one reason why it may be a good idea to do one of two things:
1) Keep your day job.
That’s right. You can start your online business in your off time. Weekends, nights, or early in the morning before you go to work.
You can use that time to build up your knowledge of areas that interest you, or, that you have some passion for.
You may think you know what you intend to do with your online business, but I can almost guarantee you will find lots of twists and turns in the journey and may end up someplace you never even imagined.
2) Find a job online.
There are actually legitimate work from home positions that you can apply for. I have one of these jobs working for a company called LeapForce.
This isn’t the kind of job where you have set hours, nor are there any job perks like insurance and paid vacations.
This is just one example, many other legitimate work from home positions are out there, if you know where to look. Telecommuting is not such a far fetched notion anymore. And with a little research, and common sense – you too can find a way to earn a paycheck from your kitchen table.
And, for some that in and of itself is enough income to pay their bills, and still have the freedom that working from home allows.
My Experience in Working from Home with Leapforce
Since I have that work at home position, that is what I’m going to share with you today. It isn’t really a job as in you clock in and clock out on someone else’s time schedule, but, it is a way for me to have steady income with options that work for me and my family.
I work my own hours – when I have time, which is very convenient with a husband and four-year old running around. I can do laundry and some light cleaning when I take breaks throughout the day. I can even work as little as I need to on any give day, but I have to remind myself often “No work, No pay.”
If there are things on the homefront that need attending to, I don’t have to call someone and make excuses as to why I can’t be at work for a few hours, I just do what I need to and work my hours when they fit in my family’s busy schedule.
I should tell you that this is not a job in the traditional sense. You become an independent contractor. Your monthly paycheck (which for me is direct deposit) does not have taxes and other deductions like Social Security taken out. I have been paid regularly in approximately the 3rd week of the month without fail.
As an independent contractor you would have to set yourself up to pay your own taxes, just as you would if you had your own business. But beyond that, it is much like any other job in the public sector.
It is an hourly paying position, and you have to pass a qualification exam in order to be accepted into the program. I must warn you though, it is NOT an easy test and if you don’t study the materials, you will not pass. This test is so hard in fact that 85% of those who apply, fail.
I honestly believe that this is not due to the difficulty of the exam, but more a matter of taking the guidelines too lightly, or testing with a mindset of “I know this” and making errors in interpretation. If you really want to work from home, this is a viable company to work for.
What Kind of Work Do I Do?
Well, it is a bit difficult to fully explain the position, due to my signing a confidentiality agreement with LeapForce, But, my title is called an “Internet Assessor”. I take information provided by the company, in the form of individual tasks, and by following their General Guidelines determine the quality and usefulness of search engine results.
There are numerous ways in which my job assignments are implemented. So you aren’t doing the same thing over and over all day long – that would be extremely boring and tedious, and frankly I don’t think I could stand it.
I can say I am exposed to many websites that I would not have known about otherwise, and I learn things every day. I discover interesting topics that I make note of to go back and research further on my own time.
Tasks are given an “AET” or Allowed Evaluation Time, and you need to perform your rating in that length of time, well, you could take longer but you won’t get paid for the extra time.
If you would like a job that offers steady income with options and are as intrigued as I was and would like to check it out and maybe take the qualifying exam, Click on the Yellow House to the left, and check out what jobs are available today
You can read up on what the company tells you about the positions available, and apply online.
The application is not overly complicated. It is a simple two part application, and all you really need is a short resume and a cover letter.
Should you apply, and best of all if you make the cut and get hired, please drop me a line. I’d love to congratulate you personally!
